The University of Oviedo will take part, in collaboration with other seventeen national academic institutions, in an awareness campaign against Gender violence which is celebrated on the 25th December, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Under the title "Las Universidades públicas se unen contra la violencia de género" (Public Universities get together against gender violence), this initiative promoted by the University of Alicante aims to disseminate a message from the participating academic institutions which helps to detect and prevent gender violence. The awareness campaign includes the "Semáforo contra la violencia de género" (Traffic Lights against gender violence), a material specifically thought for students, which through a very simple test, tries to draw attention to boys and girls on alert and risk situations within relationships.
