Requisitos:
Being in possession of an official University Degree. Nevertheless, exceptionally, admission will be extended to professionals directly related to to the speciality of the course who lack a Degree, as long as they prove their professional careers and meet the legal criteria to access University courses. Please check the Agreement of November 29, 2007 of the Governing Council of the University of Oviedo, which approves the regulation of studies leading to Certificate Degrees and other Postgraduate Degrees (BOPA, January 12, 2008).

Opticians-optometrists interested in clinical optometry and with a disposition towards research and teaching, according to the following criteria:

Mondays to Fridays, from 9:00 to 13:30 and from 15:30 to 19:00
Lugar: Fundación de Investigación Oftalmológica e Instituto Oftalmológico Fernández-Vega.
Salidas profesionales:
This Master's Degree is a course aimed at the clinical and research professionalization of the optician-optometrist, in order to integrate them in the multidisciplinary teams of clinics and ophthalmological departments. The main objective is that graduates are self-sufficient in the application of the ophthalmological knowledge to help the holistic management of the patient inside and outside the operating theater, and that they can develop the application of the scientific method.
El Título Propio Master tiene una duración de 9 meses, dividido en cuatro módulos y cuenta con un total de 60 créditos ECTS.
MÓDULO 1
Asignaturas:
- Salud Ocular: Estudio de la patología ocular y sistémica con afectación ocular, Neuroftalmología, Farmacología ocular, Anamnesis.
- Contactología Clínica: Estudio de lentes de contacto en pacientes con patología corneal y post-cirugía corneal, Complicaciones del uso de lentes de contacto
- Baja visión: Examen, prescripción de ayudas y rehabilitación del paciente en baja visión
MÓDULO 2
Asignaturas:
- Técnicas diagnósticas: Estudio, manejo e interpretación de los diferentes dispositivos diagnósticos
- Cirugía refractiva: Estudio de las diferentes técnicas refractivas y su aplicación, Manejo del paciente pre y post-cirugía
MÓDULO 3
Asignatura:
- Práctica clínica: Asistencia a la consulta diaria
MÓDULO 4
Asignaturas:
- Investigación: Introducción básica a la investigación clínica y básica desde el punto de vista optométrico
- Proyecto Fin de Máster: Presentación de un proyecto de investigación clínico y otro de investigación traslacional
