Biology of Organisms and Systems

The Department of Biology of Organisms and Systems, “the BOS”, was created in 1986 and as composed of the areas of knowledge of Physical Anthropology, Botany, Ecology, Plant Physiology and Zoology. It was located at the time in the building of the Faculty of Geology (Llamaquique Campus). Currently, the structure of the BOS is completed by the areas of knowledge of Agroforestry Engineering and Plant Production, both located in the building of the Polytechnic School of Mieres.

The Department of Biology of Organisms and Systems is made up of the following areas of knowledge, into which the teaching given is structured: Physical Anthropology, Botany, Ecology, Plant Physiology, Agroforestry Engineering, Plant Production and Zoology.
