The Polytechnic School of Mieres is located on the Mieres Campus, in the so-named scientific and technological building. It is one of the most modern and best equipped buildings of the University of Oviedo and houses 27 classrooms equipped with audiovisual media and internet access, 69 laboratories to teach the important practical content of the degrees and 10 computer rooms. It also has a splendid library and an assembly hall for conferences with a capacity for 358 people. The University Campus is completed with three other buildings: the Research Building, the Sports Complex and the University Residence.
The degrees currently taught at this School are 4 degrees in Engineering: Civil Engineering, Engineering of Mining and Energy Resources, Geomatic Engineering and Forestry and Natural Environment Engineering. It also offers a double degree in Civil Engineering and Engineering of Mining and Energy Resources and two master’s degrees: Civil Engineering and Geotechnology and GIS Project Development.
