The University of Oviedo has associated public or private teaching centres, which offer studies leading to official degrees that are valid throughout Spain. The affiliation is carried out by agreement, which requires the approval of the Principality of Asturias, at the proposal of the Governing Council of the University, following a favourable report from the Social Council.

The Governing Council of the university is the body in charge of regulating the requirements for affiliation, the obligations and commitments of the affiliated centre and the necessary content of the affiliation agreements. The university must ensure both the quality of the affiliated centres and respect for the university’s aims and principles. Currently, the University of Oviedo has two affiliated centres.
