The exhibition 'Entre Moléculas' (Among Molecules) has been opened to the audience in the Historical Building
This is one of the activities that compose the International Year of Chemistry and it is aimed at young people.
The Vice-rector's office for Research and the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Oviedo have launched an exhibition entitled "Entre Moléculas" (Among Molecules), which will be inaugurated today in the High Senate of the Historical Building of the University of Oviedo. It will remain opened until the next 14th of April.
This exhibition offers a pleasant, interesting and educational view of Chemistry. Although it is aimed at all kind of audiences, it has been specially designed for young students. The teaching centres will be able to take part in exhibition tours as well as completing this day with a tour around the Historical Building. The complete duration of the whole activity will be about 2 hours and it has been thought for groups of 30 people.
2011 is the International Year of Chemistry. The resolution adopted by the United Nations has proposed that the achievements of this science must be celebrated and its contribution to Humanity must be highlighted. The University of Oviedo, through the Faculty of Chemistry and in collaboration with the Association of Chemists of Asturias, is developing a programme of activities which will be managed by the Transfer of Research Results Office belonging to the Vice-rector's office for Research.
