The University of Oviedo organises its II Doctoral Conference at the Campus of Mieres

The registration period for PhD students closes next 5 November

The University of Oviedo will hold its II Doctoral Conference next 29 and 30 November at the Campus of Mieres. After the success achieved on the first call by the International Centre of Postgraduate Studies, a second registration period has been opened for those PhD students interested in participating.

Those wishing to attend the II Doctoral Conference must submitt a registration form to the email address infopostgrado@uniovi.es before 5 November at 12 p.m. The registration is free for the PhD students at the University of Oviedo.

The II Doctoral Conference of the University of Oviedo is framed within the activities of the Doctoral Training Program, organised this year by the CIP.

Apart from putting researchers and companies in touch and bringing the work carried out by the PhD students at the University of Oviedo closer to society, the Conference will focus on different interesting points for young researchers, such as:

  • Research communication and dissemination.
  • Resource generation for funding the development of the research.
  • Transfer of research results to the companies.

The activities program also combines lectures, exhibition panels and interactive sessions through two working days. The Conference will also include an exhibition and, as a novelty for this year, an oral presentation, on the par of the PhD students, of the posters in which they show their doctoral thesis and research advances.

The posters will be assessed by a jury and by the same PhD students participating in the Conference, awarding two types of prizes: one by the jury and another by the participants. In each case, the winner will be given 300 euros and a certificate. Furthermore, they will also choose the PhD students that will represent the University of Oviedo in the I Doctoral Conference of the G9, which will be held at the Campus of Mieres in December..
