The percentage of beneficiaries that continued working for the BID after their internships is more than 50%
The Clarín classroom of the Historical Building has hosted this morning a new edition of the annual meeting of the beneficiaries of the scholarship program of the Inter-American Development Bank, an initiative promoted by the University of Oviedo, through the University of Oviedo Foundation, and financed by Cajastur.
The Rector of the University of Oviedo, Vicente Gotor, together with the director of Obra Social de Cajastur, Carlos Siñeriz and the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Graduate Programs Covadonga Betegón , welcomed the students who have enjoyed scholarships in different promotions.
The undergraduates of the University of Oviedo, who have taken part in the program, highlighted the importance of working for an institution like the BID and enjoying the experience of spending half a year in Washington.
Since its first edition in 2003, a total of 45 people have been granted, and have had the opportunity to improve their personal and professional training in the Inter-American Development Bank Headquarters in Washington for six months. More than 50% of them stayed after the end of the internship.
