Once the Regulations about the access to the University of Oviedo's electronic services have been published at the BOPA the Electronic Office of this institution begins its journey. This is a website that will enable communication between citizens and the University as Public Administration. A tool to execute, throughout the net, the different procedures which will be added to the service.

There are currently some resources of this kind that the university community has been using regularly such as the electronic registration or the application for some grants. The Electronic Office of the University of Oviedo will host these services and it will join new administrative procedures which will be adjusted to the electronic process.

Different services will work on this technological support developed and managed by the C1N^N, according to the guidelines given by the Vice-rector's office for IT and Communications. Its content and processing correspond to the same administrative units which are normally in charge of them, under the supervision and management of the General Secretariat of the University of Oviedo.

This office will host all the services already offered by the University through its telematic channels, online resources aimed to guarantee the ID and security of its communication, and the modules to contrast the validity of documents able to be electronically processed (certifications, stamps and digital signatures), as well as a function for the monitoring of those procedures started by electronic means. Referring to processing deadlines, official dates and hours can be checked from this same site, as well as a calendar of nonworking days. It will also collect interest links with institutions and legal disposals about e-Administration, and a helpdesk, where explanations about concepts and ordinary operations in electronic means can be found.
