The University of Oviedo and CEEI Asturias sign an agreement to promote the creation of biotechnology companies

Both institutions agreed on the exchange of resources and technology to favour entrepreneurship

The University of Oviedo and the Euopean Business and Innovation Centre (CEEI) in Asturias have signed this morning an specific collaboration agreement to promote the establishment and consolidation of technology-based companies related to biotechnology.

The Rector of the University of Oviedo, Vicente Gotor, and the President of CEEI Asturias, Carlos García Morilla, have signed the agreement before visiting the installations of the CEEI's bioincubator.

As a result of this agreement, the nine biotech companies put in motion by students at the University of Oviedo will be allowed to use any of the turnkey modules of the incubator. On its part, the University of Oviedo, through the Cluster of Biomedicine and Health of the Campus of International Excellence, has provided the laboratory of the incubator with specific technological equippment for this field.
