The University of Oviedo will offer 42 Master's Degrees in its postgraduate educational offer for the academic year 2011-2012
On the 1st of May, the pre-registration for a kind of studies that in a high percentage will be taught in English and will give students the opportunity to join mobility programmes, will be opened.
The International Postgraduate Centre (IPC) of the University of Oviedo has just prepared a proposal which contains the 42 Master's Degrees included in its educational offer for the academic year 2011-2012. A group of courses aimed at promoting interuniversity and business collaboration as well as the internationalization of undergraduate courses.
The fields of Science, Health Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, Art and Humanities, Engineering and Architecture, are all included in this proposal. Furthermore, 3 Master's Degrees, with the Erasmus Mundus hallmark, will be offered as well. A high percentage of postgraduate courses will be taught in English, and student mobility will be promoted too. Internships in external institutions will be available, and they will count with the collaboration of prestigious professionals of each sector. The goal is to acquire advanced and specialized training, oriented towards the promotion of professionals, or boost their skills in research, when appropriate.
The duration of these courses vary between a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 120 ECTS credits (one or two academic years-full time). Once the course is completed, an official Master's Degree Certificate is issued. Prices are still pending on its definitive approval; it is quite probable that the price of the credits will go from 26 to 30 euros, prices would be doubled for Non-EU residents, except for students subjected to agreement.
The first call for application will be open from the 1st of May to the 15th. The Admission list will be published on the 30th of May. There will be a second call from the 13rd of June to 10th, being admission list published on the 26th of July. The deadline for applications will last from the 30th of August to 9th of September.
