The experts' committee of the Telescopi Network evaluates in a positive light the application, which has been considered as a good policy in university management
International experts of the Telescopi Network have evaluated positively the web simulator of PAU grades and admission to Undergraduate Degrees of the University of Oviedo. The application was selected as an example of Good Policies in University Direction and Management by the Telescopi Network Spain, belonging to the UNESCO Chair of the Polytechnical University of Catalonia.
The Observatory for Good Policies in University Direction and Management selected projects by eight Spanish universities that meet the criteria to prove that they are good policies in management, and all of them have been evaluated by the international experts' committee. The UNESCO Chair will give a certificate to each of the selected universities.
The eight good policies will become part of the group of good policies for the 2nd Award to Good Policies of Telescopi Spain. These awards will be given as part of a meeting on university direction that will take place at the Polytechnical University of Catalonia on February 20, 2014. The evaluation will take place during January 2014. The UNESCO Chair of University Direction is coordinating a project titled Strategy university management: unfolding practices (SUMUP) as part of the TEMPUS program.
The Telescopi Network is composed by 16 countries and its objective is to create a permanent international network of observatories of strategical university direction that allows for the selection, relief and dissemination of good policies, in order to increase the quality and the pertinence of higher education, and contribute to the formation of a space that promotes the inter-university collaboration between Europe and Latin America, boosting the interaction of the universities with their environmnent.
