The Rector of the University of Oviedo, Vicente Gotor, will appoint Marta González, current Chief of Administrative Services of the Campus of Gijón, as financial manager of the University of Oviedo. González Prieto will take over from Eusebio González, who will be relieved of his position within the next few days. The Rector will take his proposal to the meeting of the Social Council that will be held on February 28, in which the body will decide if it is approved.

Marta Gozánlez Prieto (Avilés, 1965) has a degree in Labor Relations and one in Labor Studies from the University of Oviedo. She began her career as a civil servant in the auxiliary administration in 1990 in the Faculty of Law. She then passed the civil servant examination and entered the administrative bodies in 1994, Management in 2007 and Technical Management in 2012.

Throughout her professional career, Marta González Prieto has worked in the Vice-Rector's Office for Students as Chief of the Agreements and Subsidies Section, in the Vice-Rector's Office for University Extension and Communication as Chief of Section, and currently works as Chief of the Administration Services of the Campus of Gijón since February 2008.
