The goal is to make students able to successfully follow the subjects taught in English. The application for the program may be done alongside the enrolment in the Degree.
The Campus of International Excellence has organized several zero courses aimed at the students enroled in bilingual Degrees during the 2013-2014 academic year. Students will be able to apply for a place during their enrolment. The courses will take place during the first week of September in the different centers that offer bilingual programs.
The "zero courses" of the University of Oviedo aim at making the students successfully follow the subjects taught in English during the course of the bilingual Degree. These courses discuss lexical-semantic, syntactic, pragmatic and phonological aspects corresponding to a B1 level in English. In each area, the courses will pay attention to the specific terminology of each of the disciplines that will be later studied.
Said programs, taught by lecturers qualified for teaching in English, offer the university students the opportunity of studying in said language a part of the subjects of their Degrees and/or of going on a mobility program to a foreign university where they can continue learning the language. Once they finish their Degree, students will obtain a bilingual diploma approved by the European Union.
