The students of the University of Oviedo who have been accepted into the SICUE mobility program during the 2013-2014 academic year will be able to apply for the grants offered by the Campus of International Excellence and funded by Cajastur. The grants, offered by CEI and funded entirely by Cajastur, will allow the students to fill part of the void left by the disappearance of the Séneca grants.
A total of 78 students of the University of Oviedo will take part in the SICUE mobility program during the next academic course and will stay, for 5 or 9 months, in another Spanish university to continue their studies. Those students who are interested in applying for the grants offered by the CEI will have until July 18 to present their applications in any of the official registries of the University of Oviedo.
The grants are aimed at covering the mobility expenses derived that are entailed by the SICUE program. The maximum amount of the financial aid will be of €400 for students who remain in continental Spain. When the destination is either the Balearic Islands or the Canary Islands, or the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, the maximum amount of the financial aid will be of €550.
Promoting mobility among the students is one of the most distinguished characteristics of the Ad Futurum project. Cajastur fully funds one of the grants that will help students of the University of Oviedo stay in other Spanish campuses to finish part of their Undergraduate studies.
The SICUE program allows students to stay in other Spanish universities, getting them to know other Spanish cities and different university models, with diverse didactic and pedagogical approaches, and also different student services.
