Film screenings, meetings with lecturers and students, conferences, breakfast reunions to discuss about science and roundtables will bring the laureates closer to the public. These events, organized by the Princess of Asturias Foundation in collaboration with the Asturian academic institution, will be held at the LAUDEO University Extension Cultural Center and also in different campuses and centers.
The Princess of Asturias Awards for Communication and Humanities, Scientific and Technical Research, Literature, International Cooperation and Social Sciences will visit the University of Oviedo to join different types of cultural and scientific events held in several university campuses and at the LAUDEO University Extension Cultural Center (Historical Building), where the audience will enjoy four films by the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts. This complete schedule is the result of the close collaboration between the Princess of Asturias Awards Foundation and the Asturian academic institution.
The Week of the Princess of Asturias Awards of the University of Oviedo includes different activities open to the public, which will allow the audience to come closer to the work of Francis Ford Coppola with film projections on Monday and Tuesday in the Severo Ochoa Classroom at LAUDEO. As introductory activities, complementing this initiative linked to the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts, there was a roundtable discussion last week held at the Faculty of Law, entitled "Legal reflections concerning the Godfather". Likewise, a lecture entitled "Points of view about Coppola" was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.
Along these days, laureates will hold different types of meetings with the university community, and almost all of them will be open to the public. Emilio Lledó, Princess of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities, will have a talk with students and lecturers in the Campus of El Milán on Wednesday morning, and will also give a lecture open to the public at LAUDEO.
