Different types of music like rock, songwriting, blues, heavy or indi music will be played in the II Musical Contest of the University of Oviedo, which will take place next Saturday, June 20, at the theater of the Laboral City of Culture. A jury, consisting of musicians, lecturers and specialized professionals of the world of music will choose the winners among the 5 bands that have made it to the finals. 

 

The II Musical Contest of the University of Oviedo will show different proposals like those of Antía Seijas, Flamingos, Destino 48, Blue Dog Avenue and Brutalfly. The concert will start at 20:30 and entrance is free until seating capacity is reached. The winner of the contest will be awarded with 1000 euros, and the second prize will be 500 euros. 

 

The contest, organized by the Vice-Chancellor for University Extension and Communication, aims to promote musical creation at the University of Oviedo, promoting and encouraging the activity of groups and solo singers with members related to the institution (students, PAS or PDI). Los maliayos Alienda Folk were the winners of the first edition of the contest.
