The University of Oviedo and the company Asturagua have just signed a collaboration agreement to promote activities aimed at the dissemination and transfer of knowledge as well as to promote research projects concerning the management of processes related to the integral water cycle. The agreement has been signed by the rector of the academic Asturian institution, Vicente Gotor, and by the director of Concessions of Asturagua, Tomás Pérez Pinto.
This initiative aims to encourage the elaboration of research projects related to water management, and to promote technological dissemination days and conferences related to this field in all the university campuses.
In order to promote academic excellence, there were different proposals, like offering an award for the best academic results in the Degree in Civil Engineering, or the elaboration of Masters' Thesis focused on topics related to water management.
This agreement is framed within the actions promoted by the Campus of International Excellence, in this case, in the scope of the Cluster of Environment and Climate Change, aimed at strengthening the collaboration with the territorial environment and the productive fabric.
