The delegation from the county of Bungoma, in an institutional visit to Asturias, wants to establish connections with the Asturian academic institution
The Rector of the University of Oviedo, received a delegation from the county of Bungoma, in Kenya, led by its major Makelo Kenneth Lusaka. The visit seeks to strenghten the relationship between the Asturian academic institution and the University of Bungoma. The delegation met the Rector at its office and, afterwards, had the chance to visit the Central Library at the Historical Building. The meeting also featured the presence of the Director of the Office of Internationalization, Leticia Santos, and the Director of the Area for Latin America and the Rest of the World, Alberto Fernández Costales.
The delegation of the African country will remain in Asturias for some days to establish collaboration agreements with the Principality of Asturias related to industry, health, tourism and waste management.
The management team of the county of Bungoma seeks to establish associations with regions in the international sphere that have the best practices or models for managing key areas. The African delegation is searching for associates in diverse areas, including higher education.
