The change in the current regulations softens the requirements and establishes the fact that calls will not count if the student does not sit the exam during their first enrollment
The Social Council of the University of Oviedo has approved the proposal to change the Progress and Permanence Regulations for Undergraduate and Master's Degrees, and the budget for 2013, among other matters. The meeting agreed to soften the current peromanence regulations of the University so that calls do not count if the students do not take the exam, but only during their first enrollment.
This change is an improvement for the students, since under the current regulation, approved in 2010 and valid since the 2011-2012 academic year, a call would be used even if the student did not take an exam. The Governing Council of the University approved the proposal for this change of the regulations during the past month of March.
The Social Council also approved the General Budget of the University corresponding to the year 2013 and the financial and executive budgetary report of the University corresponding to the first three months of 2014. Moreover, the university organism authorized the leasing of the premises of the Building of Scientific-Technical Services of the University Campus of Gijón to the Municipal Center of Enterprises of the Town Council of Gijón, to establish a greenhouse of technological enterprises.
