The Asturian academic institution signed a collaboration agreement with the ICA Cluster to conduct projects that improve the competitive position of the enterprises
The University of Oviedo has signed a collaboration agreement with the Innovación en la Construcción Asturiana (ICA) Cluster, an innovative entrepreneurial group, to promote projects that benefit innovation and competitiveness in the enterprises of the sector. The Rector, Vicente Gotor, and the president of the ICA, Susana García Rama, signed the agreement, which includes joint activities of research and technological development in the field of construction, among other goals.
The agreement will take place through the University Institute of Industrial Technology (IUTA), whose aim is to contribute to the technological development of the region by promotion activities of R&D&i that are specially interesting for the Asturian entrepreneurial world. The commitments made also includes promotion entrepreneurial innovation based on new technologies for construction and the application of new derived products in construction.
Moreover, the agreement includes the search for new enterprises interested in developing R&D&i projects inside the organizations, the creation of joint workshops on innovative processes and solutions that reach the market. The signature of the agreement, which will be developed by later specific agreements, featured the presence of the manager of the cluster, Gonzalo González Espina; the director of the IUTA, Sandra Velarde, and several members of the board of directors of the entrepreneurial group.
